Social Care & Private Fostering
Social care workers can often find It difficult to access services for children, young people and their families. We are able to offer family therapy for Individual families at suitable venues in which families will be given the opportunity to talk about their difficulties and be encouraged to open up other possibilities for change.
As well as working directly with families we are also able to offer consultation to Individual workers who may want to discuss families they are working with and feel an observer perspective may help them to move forwards.
Research Is now suggesting that children suffer trauma through their earlier experiences which can go largely undiagnosed but which can lead to substance or alcohol abuse or depression. At futureminds we are all trained In the use of the rewind/VK technique which can help children let go of earlier trauma and lead to more positive self Image which In turn can lead to positive changes In behaviour.
